best season

On Route No. 6 to Distelboden (Map point D). At this crossroads, choose the left-hand path and continue climbing on Route 17 to a mountain trail to Chrinnenboden. Now follow the path further up to a large boulder at «In Lengen Wang». It is recommended that you put on your climbing equipment here. From here, the left-hand trail climbs steeply towards «Grossi Chrinne», an impressive section in the ridge. On the right side, you can often see the ladders shining in the sun. The first securing elements are already available on the ascent to «Grossi Chrinne». After arriving at the ridge, you climb some ladders to a less steep part of the ridge, and along this to the summit. The via ferrata should only be used for the ascent. Descend via Route 18.

Note(s)
Very steep climb to the ladders, long, vertical ladders, exposed.
Sturdy hiking boots, plenty of water, sports drinks, snacks, sunscreen, cold-weather protective clothing, pocket medicine case, 1:25000 hiking map; if possible, orientation guides (GPS receiver, navigation system, altimeter), via ferrata set including helmet.
July to September (depending on snow and weather conditions).
